Commercial Description:
The standard by which all other wheat beers are judged. Our deliciously deranged American-Style Hefeweizen is an award winning take on this Bavarian classic. This refreshingly unfiltered wheat ale delivers a distinctively smooth flavor worth sharing with friends.

a sim rate: (on tap from The Hobbitt Cafe, Houston Texas) Standard white beer. Slightly bitter aftertaste. I put lemon in it so it’s ruined.

(Draft) Pours a cloudy yellow body with a thick creamy white head. Light citrus and banana aroma. Flavor of sugar, citrus, and wheat.

Light citrus nose from the cloudy golden body with a thin lacy head. Smooth, with decent balance, but lacking uniqueness. Bitter finish with some German yeast character. A mediocre brew.

Murky, deep golden brew. “Blink and you miss it” head. The nose is of caramel, banana and clove. Yeasty, beefy and lightly fruity in flavor. Some honey in there too. Medium-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and mild carbonation. Lengthy, lightly sweet finish with hints of oak. An odd hefe, this one.

Tap@Pyramid Alehouse. This is probably the beer they do the best. Having said that its not that good. Pretty lemony and smooth, light yeasty character. Not so bad, easy to drink.

Draught Fully hazy orange beer with olive shine; no head to speak of. Citrussy, wheat, bit of fruity esters in the nose. Served ice cold, of course. Rather sweet, bit orange-banana, but discreet; sourness almost non-existent. Retronasal some slight buttery flavour (no diacetyl). Light MF, slight wheat slickness. How more dull a supposedly serious style can become?
