Slightly cloudy in the glass, with an amber color, with nice carbonation and a clean, slightly reddish head that held up well. Aroma of hops, and citrus. Slightly dry with decent flavors. Good finish. An average American Wheat. GG (1672), NorCal, California, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Apr 12, 2007 Aside from getting this beer in a brewer’s box with 3 other kinds of Pyramid beers at a really great price, I really doubt that I’d buy this again. Aside from the fact that it’s just really plain, and unspectacular there really aren’t any faults either. An aroma of light fruit, crackers and soap. Flavors were really subdued with a dip towards the sour side with a decent dry finish. The problem I have with American Wheats is that they are just too plain and have no complexity or characteristics of a good Euro hefe. Butters (1653), Virginia, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jun 22, 2008 Draft at Colonial Downs Beer Festival. Aroma was kind of missing. Citric flavor but well balanced. Medium body. Doesn’t need a lemon. Stands on it’s own. Styles (1653), Lincoln Park, Michigan, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jun 22, 2005 Hugely dissapointed. The only hefe I have in the fridge on a hot summer day and it’s rather bland. Light amber, no head. Light yeasty aroma. Flavor very bland. Watered down. kiefdog (1637), Tampa, Florida, USA

Aroma is sweet and floral with notes of honey, banana, clove, light spice, caramel, some hints of light citrus. Flavor is about the same. Light to medium body with a pleasing floral finish. Very mild aroma of wheat with a little hint of citrus. Taste is sweaty yeast. Not bad, not good. Another boring beer from a generally unexciting style. jpm30 (1588), East Central, Georgia, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Feb 9, 2006 oz. twist cap brown bottle with a blurb about the Hefe Weizen on the neck label and no freshness date. Had a promising appearance, poured a cloudy dirty copper golden with a large frothy, rocky white head that slowly reduced to a thin bubbly, sticky ringed lacing. Had a stale, funky banana yeasty aroma with whiffs of a distant breadiness and lemons. Good carbonation and a slick medium bodied mouth feel, around average drinkability. Had a watery wheat malty taste with a stale yeastiness and a sour, semi-crisp lemony finish and a strange metallic flavor in the aftertaste.
