Cloudy light gold with a medium white head, not as large or sustained as many wheats. Pleasant mild aromas of grain and yeast, but nothing special. Light estery flavors typical of the style, but a little understated. Finishes clean with little bitterness. A refreshing hefeweizen, but only average. Gregis (1132), Shawnee, Kansas, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jun 17, 2009 Pours a cloudy golden amber with a frothy white head that collapses quickly to a small ring of bubble clinging to the sides of the glass. The nose is fairly muted with a solid wheat body and a light fruity yeast note in support. The palate is near-perfect, for the style: medium-light bodied, soft and wheaty with a clean finish. Only a touch of the wheat and yeast linger for a moment at the back of the tongue. Soft, sweet wheat with a nice blend of generic fruitiness thrown into the mix (think fading Juicy Fruit). I’m actually surprised to see this scored so lowly. As American-style wheat beers go, this is pretty solid.

There are definitley better American hefes out there though. dolemike1 (1129), Jeannette, Pennsylvania, USA

Weak flavor, and this beer had no head.. unlike the picture shown here. piscator34 (1125), Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jun 19, 2006 Draft sample at the Bellagio. Hazy gold in colour with lots of carbonation. Neutral aroma (not much there, aside from the slightest whisper of floral hops). Grainy wheat flavor, with a bit of lemon. Medium bodied, with a crisp lager-like finish. Very much on the dull side, but still better than macro-swill. kyzr (1123), Belgrade, Montana, USA
