Commercial Description:
The standard by which all other wheat beers are judged. Our deliciously deranged American-Style Hefeweizen is an award winning take on this Bavarian classic. This refreshingly unfiltered wheat ale delivers a distinctively smooth flavor worth sharing with friends.

A weird combination of right on target and totally average. Appearance is standard while nicely cloudy, aroma is non-existent, flavor is smooth but not excellent. Usual notes of wheat, yeast, lemon. I only drink it on tap though.

Nice refreshing American wheat beer. Some banana in the nose and taste. Want to try on a very hot day.

Draft - Poured a cloudy yellow in color with a medium white head. Aroma is faint, but some yeast and citrus. Flavor is not that strong either... yeast and citrus again. None of the clove/banana of the style. Quite disappointing...

This is an utterly classic example of beauty being only skin deep. This is a very pretty brew - nice cloudy swirls and a decent head, bordering on thickly gorgeous though it rapidly churns away. And so does all lauding for the brew - there bascially is nothing there beneath the makeup. Is it Animal House where the kid goes to undo the bra and is left holding crumpled kleenex as she passes out? Very little left to this brew - check out how many times the always on target ecrvich used synonyms for "average" in his review and you understand better than if you made it through my vacuous rant.

Cloudy dark amber color. Funny nose of tangerine, nobel hops, and sulfur. Slightly sweet, thinnish flavor, a touch of honey. Somewhat overhopped.

On tap... Very average beer all around. Yellow, small head. Slightly fruity nose, and very average hefe-type flavor. Not bad, but I wouldn’t order it again (unless its competetion was Bud or Miller).

Pours a light yellow hazy color. Aroma is of tart wheat and light clove. Taste is mild clove, light banana and some tangy wheat. If you’re going to call it a hefeweizen, then you ought to put a hefeweizen in this bottle instead of this shite. Blech.

A decent American Hefe-weiss, but does not have the subleties of taste that geman imports do.
