White ring around the glass and a small whisp atop the liquid surface for a head. Aroma of wheat, malt, and notes of lemon and citrus. Hits the mouth with a low-medium body, malt is interlaced with a dull sweetness, middle holds up well, finish is complete. A Wheweizen or Hefeat? Not bad- it was this or the almighty Bud Select 55 for this holiday weekend... djd07 (740), Houston, Texas, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 8, 2007 Bottle. Pours a cloudy golden yellow with a small off white head. Not much on the nose but faint citrus. Decent lacing on this one. The taste is a lemon malt with a sweet finish. This was a strange hefeweizen from pyramid. raymow (738), Bensalem, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 24, 2003 Slightly fruity/floral aroma and taste, typical of a wheat beer. Cloudy dark golden color (my glass looks a little darker than the glass pictured). Overall, a decent hefeweizen. In the past this wasn't one of my favorite styles, but it's definitely growing on me and this beer is one of the reasons. jhumphries69 (728), Tyrone, Georgia, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Aug 8, 2007 Pours a very cloudy gold with hints of orange and a very thin white head. The beer was served with a wedge of lemon (and the bar had all sorts of propaganda about why the lemon makes it better). I didn’t particularly care for the lemon. The aroma was overly strong with lemon zest thanks to the big wedge on the glass. Just vaguely perceptible beyond the lemon were aromas of spice (nutmeg and coriander) and fruit (citrus and banana). The flavor started off with too much lemon - nearly masking the actual flavor of the beer. But through the lemon the flavor of a decent hefeweizen was found. Wheaty -almost chewy- with lots of characteristic spice and fruit. The finish was dry and crisp. The mouthfeel is highly carbonated but creamy and medium in body - pleasing. This beer would have definitely scored better w/out the lemon (probably ~3.5). Fratto (728), Arlington, Texas, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 14, 2005 Bottle. Best by date: 07/28/05. Dull, hazy gold pour with two-finger thick off-white head. A little fizzy. Aroma is yeasty and tangy with some bananas and peaches and a hint of nutmeg. Where’s the flavor? Medium-bodied and smooth. Only slightly crisp. More sour than tangy. Lemon and a little banana dominate the flavor with a touch of spiciness. BitchesBrew (710), Berkeley, California, USA

Fruity flavors, with a bit too much caramel. Minimal clove esters, but loads of banana. Lingering sweetness. Very low bitterness.
