Commercial Description:
The standard by which all other wheat beers are judged. Our deliciously deranged American-Style Hefeweizen is an award winning take on this Bavarian classic. This refreshingly unfiltered wheat ale delivers a distinctively smooth flavor worth sharing with friends.

The 12 ounce bottle poured a slightly hazy copper colored beverage with a small fizzy head that quickly and completely disappeared leaving no lacing on the glass. The aroma was rather unpleasant, smelling like dirty sox. The body was medium-light with lively carbonation and a slightly oily texture. The flavor started off lightly sweet. This sweetness fades gradually during the medium length finish and is eventually replaced with a light bitterness.

A tinge of alcohol in the nose. Smooth start with a dirty, uncomplex front. Off tap, front is clean, nearly tasteless. Character not apparent until the relatively clean finish. Drinkable, but lacks the flavorful notes of an Edelweiss. Decent summer brew, but this is one of those beers that should really be had on tap. This rating is assuming a bottle tasting. A good 3.3 off tap.

Not too inticing aroma, really no citrus notes. Nice golden color. Head dissipates rapidly. Smooth taste, somewhat boring, nothing too distictive here. Mellow aftertaste. Another lawnmower beer.

Slightly above avg summer beer. Not as good as the Germans make it but at $6 a six ya can’t go wrong.

Ok looking but no booming head I like with the style. Decent banana clovey notes but quieted by light cereal breadiness. No real depth in flavor, as this brew never really evolved in any direction. Quenching, but lacks what I expect in a good hefe.

Thick golden color with a fluffy head. Wheaty, citrusy goodness. Well carbonated with a lingering slightly bitter aftertaste.

12oz bottle. Pours hazy yellow-orange with a fizzy head. Smells grainy and wheaty. Tastes like a flat pilsner. Not much spice. Tastes of wheat and grain malts. Very soft carbonation. Yeasty and watery aftertaste.
