Commercial Description:
The standard by which all other wheat beers are judged. Our deliciously deranged American-Style Hefeweizen is an award winning take on this Bavarian classic. This refreshingly unfiltered wheat ale delivers a distinctively smooth flavor worth sharing with friends.

God this is just an awful beer. I dont know how it is rated so highly. This and Widmer are both bad. It does not have any real flavor and is pretty much disgusting, both inside and out. Would not drink unless it is the only thing available, and even then I might still have a Pepsi or Coke.

Light cloudiness; deep yellowish, gold-orange. Thin, fading head. Lively carbonation; thin and light texture. Couldn't really find the typical banana and clove. More like an "American Wheat" than a Hefeweizen. Light malts, slightly sticky. Mild bitterness (herbal). Finished dry on the tongue and cloying in the throat. Pinch of citrus, but falls short. Kind of bland and boring.

I’m glad someone had the sense to properly classify this as an American wheat, because it doesn’t have much hefe features. Hazy yellow-gold, modest head, no lace. Wheaty aroma, vaguely banana as well. Palate is the same-- devoid of any spicy, estery,or citrus component really. On the thin side. Not bad, but don’t go out of your way for this one.

One of those that you start out drinking for the rating and hopes it gets better but it never does. Very musky and unbalanced, oily and a little too sweet. I would not try this one again.

Fairly typical - cloudy yellow, decent white head, mildly fruity aroma and flavor with all the normal wheat characteristic. The only issue was a rather pronounced stale, cardboardy flavor and aroma.

Some citric spiciness, but somewhat plain. Nice cloudy/hazy pale yellow color. (on tap, Flying Saucer, Addison, TX)

Hazy yelllow with asmall white head. Aroma of yeast with some small notes of banana and orange. Astringent malty taste.

On tap. Tasted during trip to California. Yellow cloudy colour with a nice head. Not much aroma, just hints of citrus. Very weak flavour of yeast. Not very good.
