Sep 5, 2004 I thought this hefe was just fine cuz i was able to drink more than 3 12 ouncers and not get sick of it unlike other brands. Perhaps if it had just a tad bit more wheat and bannana added it would really come across well. Head could of been thicker too.

Sep 28, 2004 Not bad at all - very very wheaty, sourish, less sweet bubblegum, especially when warm. In fact, the palate is nice here, but the flavors don’t hold up all that well. But still, some pepper, spiciness, tanginess make it trad.

Nov 23, 2005 Nice typical hefe appearance. Overall, I’d say it’s average. Banana...apricot...nice usual fruitiness.

Sep 22, 2007 Lovely cloudy wheat beer, it lacks some citrus punch, but does have a solid malt backbone and a spicy nose.

Jan 17, 2006 Tap Pour at Scarpa’s 2 in ABQ, NM. Served in a pint glass with the traditional lemon slice garnish. Not much head, but the cloudy orange-amber body was a sight for sore eyes. Aroma dominated by the citrus aspect, but a little wheat comes through. No traditional banana here! Flavors also dominated by the lemon/citrus, but more of the wheat/bread, and some spices come out. I do miss the banana evident in other Weizens. Very tasty for an American Hefeweizen... but these boys still have something to shoot for. Cheers!

Aug 25, 2007 Updated: Sep 6, 2007Pours a very hazy yellow-orange hue with a nice little creamy white head. Funky piquant nose of distinct yeast, fruits and spices. Initially sharp flavor with big wheat roundness that finishes bready and mealy. Pretty easy drinking American style hefe.

May 8, 2008 I think this one is a nice easy drinker. Not a whole lot of flavor, but not overly dry. Goes down nice. Theres certainly nothing offensive about this one.
