May 26, 2008 Bottled. This is a decent Hefe, but seems to really need a lemon wedge. Without the lemon, it’s a bit flat and yeast like. With the Lemon wedge, it really opens up. I know hard core RB folks are likely anti Lemon wedge, but for this beer, I like. Also, and perhaps my wife likes this beer with the Lemon.

Jun 1, 2006 This had a nice head.color straw.aroma a fragrant malty-hops.kind of sour tasting.Not bad.had better.Will probably buy again.

Mar 12, 2008 Draught. Mildly acidic nose, not much there. Cloudy orange-red withi a thin and patchy head. Clove and banana flavor, proper for style but unimpressive. Some bite in the palate.

Dec 30, 2007 Pours a hazy golden brown with a medium sized head. Aroma is of wheat and yeast, and the taste is mainly malted wheat. Definitley more of a wheat ale than a hefe, lacking the spicy notes of a real hefe. Maybe a slight spice tatste in the background but not much. Still a decent wheat ale and pretty cheap for a 12 pack. But Franzikaner is about the same price and is a real hefe so I probably won’t get it again unless it is convienient.

Jan 16, 2007 Tried it on tap. No head with typical hefeweizen color. Yeasty, citrus flovor with some bitter hops at the finish. OK, but not my favorite of this style.

Jun 22, 2008 Draft at Colonial Downs Beer Festival. Aroma was kind of missing. Citric flavor but well balanced. Medium body. Doesn’t need a lemon. Stands on it’s own.

Mar 7, 2009 Minimal smell of some banana and malt with some esters.
Pours a hazy light golden color with minimal white head with some action.
Has a grainy wheat taste with hints of banana and clove.
Light bodied, a little watery, with some carbonation that seems almost flat.
This is a twister that needs to be purchased fresh.
