| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jan 22, 2008 Bottle. Pours hazy swirly amber with medium slightly off-white head. Nice residual yeast on bottom of bottle. Very mild grain aroma, doughy yeast notes, slight citrus-like scent. Flavor is doughy light bread, a very mild sourness, a tiny bit of floral hops and a touch of bitter flavor- overall very mild and lacking much complexity. Rounded mouthfeel is the best part. islay (478), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jan 26, 2007 On tap at Kincaid’s in Bloomington, MN. I should note that I had this beer with a lemon slice added, but it was not squeezed. The aroma contains the clean, soapy smell of yeast, cinnamon, and lemon sharpness. It was weak by the standards of the style, and it became a bit pungent as I drank. Pours a cloudy, opaque orange with not enough frothy white head; looks like apricot nectar in the glass. Initial taste is slightly off, a bit macro pale lager-like for some reason. It doesn’t have much of that classic hefeweizen taste (perhaps because it’s really an American wheat). I taste orange and a slight lemon sourness (I don’t think it’s from the lemon slice). There is a bit of hops bitterness, surprisingly. This medium to full-bodied beer is crisp, clean, refreshing, and lively in the palate. The taste improved as I drank despite the fact that the aroma got worse. Like a lot of American wheats, Pyramid Hefeweizen just makes you shrug your shoulders in indifference, especially when not consumed in the summer. mmmbeer (765), Austin, Texas, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 4, 2009 12 oz. bottle served in tumbler- poured a non transparent, murky, and hazy darkened orange and yellow. White ring around the glass and a small whisp atop the liquid surface for a head. Aroma of wheat, malt, and notes of lemon and citrus. Hits the mouth with a low-medium body, malt is interlaced with a dull sweetness, middle holds up well, finish is complete. A Wheweizen or Hefeat? Not bad- it was this or the almighty Bud Select 55 for this holiday weekend... timfoolery (484), California, USA

The taste didn’t wow me, but I could drink the stuff all night. It was a nice surprise... Tasted again on 2/22/08 and felt the same way! rugbybeerchick (7), California, USA does not count | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Aug 12, 2009 hazy, orange gold color.. medium white head.. sweet grain & mild citrus smell. taste is a bit too sweet for me. there is nothing to draw you in on the first sip. pretty mediocre hefe.
