Commercial Description:
The standard by which all other wheat beers are judged. Our deliciously deranged American-Style Hefeweizen is an award winning take on this Bavarian classic. This refreshingly unfiltered wheat ale delivers a distinctively smooth flavor worth sharing with friends.

Re-rate 12/20/02: A “Chill Hazed” orange color on the pour with a decent sized head and nice lace to cover the glass. Yeasty hints in the nose, citrus fresh and lightly sweet, the start malt mostly with a middling top. Finish nicely carbonated and a fair to middling hop presence with the appropriately dry lingering aftertaste. Nice beer, not a great beer, but drinkable in its own right.

Just not what I expected. Overmalted and got downright grody after a couple. Looked pretty good and smelled pretty good though. Overall not too bad and not too good.

Cloudy straw color, with a small white head that was short lived. The aroma was wheaty and yeasty with a mild spice note to it with a mild fruity side. The flavor was nothing special but still decent.Mildly fruity with a decent wheat flavor a mild yeastiness and mild spice. Not bad but could use a little work to be better.Would make a good brew for a hot day.

not my favorite style of beer, but better than most. Sweet, decent body, I’d drink this over most other american hefes.

Some citric spiciness, but somewhat plain. Nice cloudy/hazy pale yellow color. (on tap, Flying Saucer, Addison, TX)

Not a bad Wheat, just not as good as the Widmer I had before. Occluded amber color, citrusy and a little sweet. No hop presense with this one. It’s a solid beer, but Widmer’s is better.
