Commercial Description:
The standard by which all other wheat beers are judged. Our deliciously deranged American-Style Hefeweizen is an award winning take on this Bavarian classic. This refreshingly unfiltered wheat ale delivers a distinctively smooth flavor worth sharing with friends.

Golden cloudy wheat beer that my waiter poured with a smallish head. Banana and cloves, more spice than sweet fruit, sour and wheaty, not much hops.

Dark yellow, darker than a normal hefeweizen, some white head that hung around. Bananas in aroma. Creamy palate, dry hoppy finish, good but I prefer the more delicate German wheat beers.

Appearance: Nice dark yellow, cloudy with a large foamy white head..carbonation looks attractive. I smell some sourness, though not strong, fresh hay comes to mind, though there is no great amount of aroma at all! Pretty clean cut taste , I taste a fresh bread, doughy flavour..some slight acidity leaves a small amount of hoppy bitterness near the end. This beer feels too carbonated for my personal tastes, very "thin" in the mouth..OK but not good. A pretty easy to drink beer for a nice hot July day, but theres a lot of beer that can do that same thing!

Re-rate. The best Pyramid I’ve tasted to date which isn’t saying a lot. A very drinkable hefe but that’s about the only highlight I can think of. Not much banana or bubblegum flavor and hardly any aroma.

Draft at Chili’s. Best thing on tap tonight. Fruity aroma and a hoppy flavor. Head was very thin. Not a bad beer, but not super exciting.

Typical hefe, nice yellow/golden cloudy color. Not too bad of a hefe but there are better ones out there, has more of a bitter taste than preferred with weis beers. Easy to drink good summer beer.

Pours really nice and dare I say better than some German and Belgian options. Appearance would be its strongest point. Pyramid’s adaption as with most of the American wheats Ive tried lacks both the fruity nose and taste. Tastes more grassy or veggy than fruity. Its not bad by any means but not what I look for in a Hefe.
