Commercial Description:
The standard by which all other wheat beers are judged. Our deliciously deranged American-Style Hefeweizen is an award winning take on this Bavarian classic. This refreshingly unfiltered wheat ale delivers a distinctively smooth flavor worth sharing with friends.

Not much wheat flavor. Had it on tap, and was disappointed. Bland would be the word I'm looking for here. I thought it was a little bit better out of the bottle.

Aroma typically wheaten but very light. Color a cloudy yellow-gold with average head---some lace...Flavor features the signature wheat aspects of concurrent sweetness and tang, although both are very muted in this brew. Hops are also very light. Body is adequate, and the finish is just a tapered version of the main body. There is nothing objectionable about this offering, but nothing very memorable either. This is one instance in which I might recommend the lemon to perk-up a fairly drab profile.

Looks and smells good but taste is a little off. Wheaty and citric but I detected something a little metallic to the flavor. Where is the bannana and clove? I've had better hefeweizens.

Noticeably hazy, yellow coloring. Head disappates quickly. Sweet, grassy aroma. Flavor is dominated by yeast and wheat with subtle citrus notes. Grows bitter as beer approaches room temperature. Excellent when served with a slice of lemon.

Bottled this time, not nearly as good. A little thicker taste than the other hefs i have tried, but not a knockout by any stretch....the search continues...

Attractive hefe-type pour releases the yeasty/wheaty aromas. The flavor is grassy, fruity, citrus, banana, clove, and spices. Decent wheat, if unremarkable.

Bottle. Pours a hazy orange golden body with a white head. Wheat character of citrus, lemon grass, and a note of spice. Banana and caramel malt. A hint of paper.

(Tap) Pours a hazy mustand color with a small, persistant head. A little hoppier then I expected. Overall not too much flavor. A little citrusy. Quite unimpressive.
