I found some banana in this (aroma and even taste) but little to none of the typical clove - that's o.k. - it made it all the more drinkable. Nice light hop finish too. Now, I've got to figure out how to drink it while using the weed whacker at the same time... KingPinHead (390), Des Moines, Washington, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Aug 22, 2002 Aroma typically wheaten but very light. Color a cloudy yellow-gold with average head---some lace...Flavor features the signature wheat aspects of concurrent sweetness and tang, although both are very muted in this brew. Hops are also very light. Body is adequate, and the finish is just a tapered version of the main body. There is nothing objectionable about this offering, but nothing very memorable either. This is one instance in which I might recommend the lemon to perk-up a fairly drab profile. kyzr (1127), Belgrade, Montana, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 28, 2007 Good sized light orange head of medium sized bubbles. reduce slowly with good carbonation. Really cloudy dark orange in color. Almost looks like apricot juice. Dry and dusty aroma with some light peaches, ham and some spices. Dry and biscuity in flavor. Definate wheat notes. Little bit of chalkyness. Pretty sweet and not very refreshing for a wheat. Finishes oily and dry. Eh! kwoeltje (1328), Manchester, Missouri, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | May 18, 2004 I appear to be agreeing with consensus here- this is a bland, boring wheat beer. Pours cloudy yellow-orange with a thick, puffy off-white head. Tangy, bitter, zesty aroma. Flavor is rather weak and rather cardboardy with tangy and earthy notes. No banana or clove flavors suggestive of a "hefeweizen" the label claims the beer to be. Instead, this has a rather creamy, smooth mouthfeel. Falls far, far short of other American Wheats like Bell’s Oberon. Wet and lifeless. Hmright (101), Annapolis, Maryland, USA
