Commercial Description:
Skillfully brewed with over 60% wheat malt (Bavarian tradition only calls for 50%), Pyramid's Northwest style Hefeweizen has a smooth body and a cloudy golden color. This crisp refreshing beer is unfiltered for extra flavor.

An unclear orange beer with a white head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of oranges, but also notes of banana and light notes of straw. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of caramel as well as quite a lot of banana and oranges. I think this is a nice Hefeweizen - why is it listed as an American wheat?

Sampled druaght at Fox & Hound, Richardson, Texas.
Pale amber and cloudy. No Head. No aroma. Very light fruitiness. Clean and hard malt profile and fizzy mouthfeel. Medium to light body. Notes of citrus and slight touch of bitterness in the finish.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Pours a hazy, orangey golden with a small, off-white head. Lightly sweet, fruity aroma. Medium body with some slightly sweet malt, but no real fruityness. A hint of sulphur in the finish. 150506

I remember someone telling me that this was just an unfiltered version of the Wheaten Ale. That cannot be true, since that beer is quite good and this one is quite lifeless.
