nqualls (633), Tennessee, USA Aug 7, 2008 Poured a hazy yellow color with minimal head. Aroma is wheat and a faint citrus note. Flavor is mildly citrus, but mainly just wheat. Not the best in its style by any means.
fidelis83 (222), Clinton, Iowa, USA Dec 29, 2008 Aroma is yeast and lemon, Flavor is Yeasty bread, lemon, and sweetish wheat malt. Pretty typical hefe. theJW (2), , Washington, USA does not count Dec 6, 2008 From the bottle into a clean pint glass. Hazy orange color with quickly diminishing head. Banana citrus aroma that smells just a little weak and watered down. Slight carbonation and a wheaty, citrusy taste. Goes down easy...it is pretty light...and is damn refreshing on a summer day. Belongs at ballparks. Edgekrusher (78), , Alabama, USA Dec 5, 2008 From bottle. Pours hazy orange colored with a short lived head. Refreshing on a hot summer day. Nnot complex but serves its purpose. Citrus and wheat aromas and flavors. DrnkMcDermott (1616), Downers Grove, Illinois, USA Nov 29, 2008 Soft German weizen smell, no esters, just a bit of skunk, bottle may be old. Pours a darker, hazy yellow than most hefes, too. Taste is rather a hybrid of German and American wheats: soft spiciness, but no clove or banana taste. Well, it’s one of Pyramid more widely sold beers, so one could expect it to be a little more broad in mass appeal. But still, it’s a very good light beer to keep around.
cbeers21 (480), Miami, Florida, USA Oct 25, 2008 Ok looking but no booming head I like with the style. Decent banana clovey notes but quieted by light cereal breadiness. No real depth in flavor, as this brew never really evolved in any direction. Quenching, but lacks what I expect in a good hefe.
