Bomber. Medium sized off-white head. The body looks like a natural apple cider with nice cloudines. Spicy sweet nose. Flavors of apple butter, cinammon, cloves, and bananas. Nice warm, but very clean, drinkable finish. This one’s a really good (somewhat strong) session beer. Very unique.

Bottle from Hollingshead purchased for me by my gracious buddy Odeed on his recent visit; Thanks a ton Jake! Thick cloudy looking orange pour with a small, glass-lacing yellowish head; before I smell or taste this baby I see the ratings run from 2.0 to 4.1 (all over hell) Nose of light pumpkin ester, and whiffing very deeply I do pick up a faint banana note deep in the background. No alcohol shows it’s face! Nose also shows the malty caramel wheat, for a plus on my rating! Now to let the thick-appearing juice meet my variety of sensory buds; Flavor shows a little pepperiness and tartness, with some hoppy bitterness and grainy sweetness, meeting with a light alcohol burn in the finish. A totally unusual character in the guise of a hefe. Looks like a hefe, has some other monor hefe vices, now to let that second bottle age for a couple years and take a second look! Unique this succa’ is!

Thanks to the SamuriaArtist. I was really looking forward to this, especially after having some great Strong Hefe (Vitus and and the Schneider/Brooklyn). This however, I cannot stand too much. For a hefe there is no esters, no bublbegum, WTF!!! Smells like a cheap lager with no sweetness (again what kind of hefe beer is this), very mineral and cheap sugar corn thing. Taste is just plain faint yeasty dough. I really hate this beer for making me excited and sticking something completely messed up in front of me. The only positive thing about this beer is its appearance; so dark yellow starting to look orange and no clarity in it because it is so thick. Small head.
22oz bottle, La Trappe goblet glass.

Funny, I tried to brew an "imperial hefeweizen" about a year or so ago (didn’t work out). This is the first commercial one I’ve found. Opaque and rusty orange. Crisp and carbonated up front; softer and chewier toward the finish. Sweet grains, cereal and a lot of wheaty sweetness. Hops were bold and seemed to complement well. Some fruity notes like orange and lemon zest, but I didn’t really notice much banana. Interesting beer.

Extremly hoppy wheat beer, though it is incorrectly categorized as a hefe. This has a sharp hoppy flavor more reminescent of a IPA. I was unimpressed and was hoping for a whole lot more.

A Damn good imperial hefe. Never had a hefe with such intensity. 22oz bottle from BevMo. Big yeasty nose.

Yum yum yum. A very very nice cloudy hefe that is orange and yellow. Pours with a nice head and is completely cloudy like a murky pond. Malts are very sweet and this beer goes down very smooth.

(bottle from hollingshead.)cloudy orange/yellow with a nice thick white head that leaves huge webbing as it sits.the aroma is of dusty hay, earth, wheat, peaches, and grassy hops.the flavor is a bit of the same although i must say not nearly as complex and enjoyable.the taste was more on the "macro" side with a slight corn type finish.mouthfeel was on the medium side.
