Bottle... Poured a chalky orange with a fizzy white head that faded quickly. Sweet malt and maybe like an egg aroma. Well hopped with citrusy sweet yeast and malt flavors and a bit of a wine aftertaste.

22oz from Sam’s, Durham. Cloudy orange body, as one would expect, with a modest head and only faint retention. The aroma isn’t too strong, with a faint whiff of citrus and banana bread. Decent body, with some spice coming through, but a bit bland and with a fairly sour (not in the happy way) aftertaste.

650 ml bottle from Bevmo. Pours an unfiltered cloudy orange-gold. The head was smallish and dissipated to nothing in under three minutes. The aroma has biscuits, malts and banana. The flavor is not really that of a German Hefe. I note breads, citrus, malts and hops. The mouthfeel is thick and chewy, this is a beer that will make the malt-heads happy. Finishes long with spices and a touch of fruits finally showing up, I get banana and peaches. Overall: I really enjoyed this beer. My congrats to Pyramid for making something really different. Recommended.

650 ml bottle from Bevmo. Hazy golden yellow with a fluffy white head. Aroma of malty, yeast, alcohol, and some faint fruit notes. Semi sweet taste of spice, bread, and honey with an herbal/floral finish. Decent, but I was wanting better.

Cloudy deep golden color with a thin off white head. The nose had more alcohol than I expected with the clove that I did. Some clove spiciness with lots of wheaty malts, but as others have said, it didn’t seem like a bigger Hefeweizen.

Bottle from BevMo. Hazy dark orange-amber color upon pouring. Low carbonation along with a syrupy body. Slightly sweet aroma dominated by graininess. Thick mouthfeel. Grainy spiced flavor. Some bitterness in the finish. Tastes more like an amped up wheat ale than a German.

22 oz bottle,very attractive labeling for a change from Pyramid. Very nice strong estery banana aromas, good strong wheat,, some spice and a tinge of alcohol. Nice. Lovelly appearance cloudy orange with a large tight, off white head. All the aroma is there in the flavour but the banana is toned down and the spice/clove turned up. Solid wheat bascground,Hops in the end. Alcohol present but not a distraction. Ok on the palate, with some nice linger clove spices. Overall a weird beer, but I enjoyed this.

Bottle from SL. The color was hazy to cloudy amber, thin white head, diminishing quickly, near nil lacing. The aroma was the typical banana esters and wheaty malts. The flavor followed suit, clovey bananas, but a nice almost dry bitter hoppy finish (bittering noble hops, maybe some saaz also in there?) kept this thing pretty clean, far from a sticky sweet imperial hefe mess. A nice impy hef.
