| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 31, 2008 First time I’ve tried an "imperial" hefe. Beer pours cloudy golden with a creamy head. Aroma of malt and grain. Some light hops, spice, and fruit as well.
Taste is similar with a tart bitter finish. Body is carbonated. JaffaHawk23 (39), Broomfield(via Iowa City), Colorado, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 16, 2008 After I let the yeast settle to the bottom of my pint glass I dove into this hefe and enjoyed it. Not a big fruity beeer drinker so this was testing my will. The strong hops character carried this beer. Great color. Highly complex mouthfeel. Decently drinkable. Above average beer. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 7, 2008 Hazy tangerine-orange with a thick, airy, fluff head. Aroma of light wheat and some yeast with a pungence of alcohol. Wheat and alcohol are definitely more assertive than the typical wheat beer. Stronger does not necessarily better. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Mar 6, 2008 Smooth wheaty aroma and taste, this drinks dangerosly quickly over almost any meal with transparent colour and some residual foam. Incredibly drinkable. luckygirl (1221), Boulder, Colorado, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 5, 2008 2007 Bottle. Beer is cloudy, medium rich gold. Head is initially small, cream-colored, frothy. Diminishes rapidly and mostly. Growing petri-dish culture surface left behind.
The aroma is malty with light notes of toasted grain, caramel cookie; Hoppy with a light-to-moderat note of herb, moderate note of chewy dried apricot; Yeasty traces of banana and clove, dough; Trace of candied orange peels.

The flavor is lightly sweet, moderately acidic, light-to-moderately bitter/dry. The finish is moderately long, light-growing-to-moderately bitter, trace acidic. Some warmth and hop-grip in the finish.
The body is medium, the texture is watery-to-velvety and the carbonation is lively-to-fizzy.
Sweet for the style, leaves me craving it’s lean cousins. | 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Mar 3, 2008 Bottle. Deep proper hefe colour, thin head (unproper). Slightly sour nose, decent body. Overall underwhelming - not really an elevation of the American hefes, not at all a German hefe. TheSponge (281), Lynnwood, Washington, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Mar 2, 2008 1 pint 6 fl. oz. bottle, 2007 vintage. Pours a cloudy honey color with a small head. At 7.5% ABV, this is the strongest Hefeweizen I have ever tried. Flavor: lemon and wheat, with just a hint of hops. BeerPrince (1701), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Feb 27, 2008 Looks like a darker typical hefe and the aroma also is thicker but with a touch of alcohol to the wheaty citrus aroma. Heavier texture and flavour than a typical wheat but without the flavour balance due to the alcohol.
