Bottle. Orange/buttery malt and light pine aroma. Reddish-amber color with moderate head. Sweet light cherry and buttery malt flavor with a light orange/pine hops finish. Very nice beer.

Pretty decent red ale, good presence from the hops with caramel malt that rounds out the beer nicely.

Reviewed 10/26/2009 (draught @ Flying Saucer, Houston, TX): Pours a reddish, brownish color body, small frothy white head, lastingish. Aroma of maltiness, sweetness and some nutiness. Hoppy, citrusy. Earthy. Not super strong. Hoppy taste, bitter and citrusy. Very malty, nutty too. Mouth watering. Very piney. Somewhat dusty. Very hoppy, more as it warms up. ’Red’ ale taste.

Bottle courtesy of Fratto. Clear red appearance but has some lighter qualities. Nice red malt aroma but a definite feeling of hops as well. Good balance between the two on the nose. Watery taste upfront but a definite tingle of hops. Malty backbone but is increasingly ever dry. Dry and bitter finish.
