Reddish amber with thin head, but higly active. Citric aroma. Fresh and dry fruity flavor. Gets blander as you go. This is an OK American pale, but nothing spectacular to make it stand out at all.

Pale Ale is not one of my favorite categories, but this one really impressed me. Tawny in color with hints of hops and a pinch of sweetness on the nose. Surpirsingly smooth with a dry, slightly frutiy taste with hints of vanilla.

Nice looking beer when poured into a glass..nice crystal brown with a lovelly creamy style off white head that stays a while. Also great aroma of fresh cascade hops....and the caramel malts can be detected too. Taste is good rather balanced though the malt predominates for most of the time..its just as you swallow that the hops show through..nice but could be a little more balanced. Pretty average on the palate..nothing special. Drinkable Pale ale but with so many good ones to choose from why would I return to this again?

A dark caramel in color, fast fading foam, and full mouth taste. I really like this beer. Not a Pyramid fan in the fast, I'm finding that they put out a consistent and quality product. Others here have commented on a foul smell, but find it appealing. I'll buy again...not bad at all.

Dark copper and decent carbonation. Roasted, nutty malts and slightly floral aroma. Nutty and woody flavor with some staleness and low hop bitterness. A very English pale ale that predates the hop fad in the American craft beer movement.

Darker amber colour with a very thick (3 centimetre) dense tan head. The aroma was almost purely hops, but not normal Cascade...these were very metallic smelling and not fresh at all. Taste of metal with a bit of hops (they taste like english and not cascade though). Malt backbone, but the hops are more prominent. Medium-bodied; Afteraste very bland and lifeless, just showing a bit of hops and a tad of the malt. Not a great beer, but not the worst beer. Pretty much what I've come to expect from Pyramid. Not really worth trying unless you REALLY want this one for some personal reason. Overall, an average (perhaps slightly lower than) english pale. I bought my twelve ounce bottle at Total Wine in McLean, Virginia.

Great appearance in the draft version. Dark amber color with a large creamy off white head. Moderate hoppy aroma and taste. A little disapointing in the palate.

Pours dark amber with modest rapidly falling head. Aroma is cascades with slight malt. Taste is cascades with some carmel malt. A little watery, tastes like Sierra Nevada Pale Ale's younger brother. Decent, not excellent APA.
