This is a great pale ale. A nice floral hop aroma mingles with the caramel malts. IMHO Pyramid turns out consistently great beers, and this is one of their finest. A great ’gateway’ beer to get your friends off of the Budmilloors crap. Very good balance, yet it lets every aspect of the beer shine.

Great ale, strong and amber. Very well hopped but no bite. Just what I like in a beer. Perfect with pizza

Poured a nice amber/ruby color with an off white head that starts big then resides to average. The nose was bready, malty and piney with a hint of orange zest. The taste was sweet caramel, roasted malt, rye and cherry with citrusy hop esters at the finish. Very good. Tasty as hell.

Update: Attractive red-copper color with thick foamy head. Buttery and citric aroma. Smooth, some caramel and nut flavors. Tingly hoppiness and surprisingly well balanced. Really an american amber?
