Commercial Description:
A rich, full-bodied winter warmer crafted in the British tradition of holiday beers. This deep mahogany colored brew balances complex fruit flavors with a refreshingly smooth texture.

Had a very small taste of this so this is more as a place holder till I can get a hold of a six pack. Nice soft palate that has a medium bodied smooth malt profile. I tasted some apricots and some malt sugars like toffee and caramel. Nice brew that I’ll be sure to pick up.

Bottle. Pours dark amber brown with beige tan head. Aroma is citrus, ginger, and earthy. Tastes fairly sweet balanced by some sour and spiciness and concludes with a bitter and slightly astringent finish.

Good strong ale, but not great. Tasted a cellared year and a half old bottle. Have had several of these over the last few years. Sitting this one back awhile mellows the malty sharpness it once had. It’s gained some complexity but has lost some boldness. Still its better than it was if only a little bit. I agree that Avery Jubilation is a significantly better beer for only a buck or two more per 6 pack.

On tap a few weeks back. Color was a dark brown, but the lighting wasn’t very good. Aroma was very sweet and a bit fruity. Flavor was the same with a good dose of alcohol in there. Pretty boring here.

Dark brown pour from bottle. Woody, roasted nut taste. Decent, but not spectacular winter warmer.

Relatively smooth texture, but a little bit heavy for my liking. A good beer to take your time and sip on, not one if you want to drink a lot fast. For 7% ABV, not terrible.

Not my cup of tea for a winter beer. Malty, medicinal, minty flavor. The beer pours a relatively dark amber with a smallish head. The aroma is a mixture of band-aids and mint with some malt presence. The flavor is a tad sweet for my liking. It’s not a terrible strong ale, but it’s not terribly interesting or worth another purchase. Jubelale may be a dollar or two more for a six pack, but it’s worth it.

Six pack purchased at Liquor Barn in Redding. Appearance: light tan head that collapses quickly. Deep burgundy color. Bouquet: Walnuts, Cashews. Taste: Caramel malt with a nice (but not overly so!) hop balance. Palate: Slightly dry, imagine eating a bunch of walnuts. Overall, a good beer for Christmas, but there are better "Winter Warmers" out there...

Pours mahogany in color with a smooth and silky cream head. Light reflects off beer with a ruby red color that is crisp and clear. Great balance of flavor, hops, malt, and a bitter sweet finish.
