Apr 19, 2007 (screw cap bottle) Hazy, dark amber colour with a huge, off-white foamy head. Sweet wheat-malty and fruity aroma (bubblegum & banana), slightly ashy with restrained toasty notes. Sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a lively carbonation. Very light toasty, wheat-malty taste with a well-balanced fruity note and light phenols; sweet, fruity and slightly sourish finish. Tastes more like a (good) Ur-Weizen than a Dunkelweizen.

Apr 16, 2006 50cl bottle at the London Drinker BF 06. Thanks to Duff and Olaf for this one. Cloudy brown/gold with lasting beige head. I seem to remember lots of banana and a cereal wheat feel in the mouth.

Apr 14, 2006 Bottle. I’m assuming that the ’Dunkel Weizen’ i had is the same as this one. A light to medum bodied dunkelweizen, perhaps a touch on the thin side. Touches of banana and clove, with some lightly caramelly malt, and yes, some berry fruit.

Edgy pumpernickel and slightly edgy aroma.
Bready, carbonized base flavor, a slight astringent berry note. Medium body, mellow mouthfeel. Bready aftertaste.
A dunkelweizen with character.
