muzzlehatch (4424), Burlington, Vermont, USA Aug 16, 2006 5 oz draught sample at the brewpub, late July 2006. Clear light yellow-gold with a small lasting creamy taupe head....strong, fresh, simple saaz-grassy nose, eloquent enough if ordinary....sweetish, somewhat thick body full of fresh hops, well-balanced bitter-sweet character throughout, sharp cidery tang at the finish is perhaps a bit too much. One of two decent samples (of 6) that I had here. CharlesDarwin (1413), State College, Pennsylvania, USA May 7, 2006 On Tap at the Brewpub My first and last decent Quay St. brew. Pour of crystal clear light gold, with a rim of whitish. Nose is a strong whif of ketchup and L&P. Flavor is a sticky light sweet malt, with a drop of half and half. Watery, and needs more crispness and hops balance. Tart and a touch stale. Leaves a green apple smack. Crockett (903), Steelback County, Ontario, Canada Aug 3, 2004 Pours clear and way too pale. Aroma is weak. Flavours are nice. Some saaz and roasty malts come through but dies off quick. Soapy finish. Not bad but the flavours don’t meld well.
