Apr 6, 2008 33 cL bottle, from fonefan. Pours clear and golden brown with a lacing tan head. Sour lacto aroma with reminisence of yogurt. Flavour is sweet sugarish and sour. Light citric note following. Ends with a lingering brown sugarish note. Light off note too.

Apr 5, 2008 Dark brown with medium off white head. Sweet and sour aroma with woody and light balsamic notes. Sweet flavor with youghurt, wood and malty notes. Would be nice with more sourness.

Mar 25, 2008 At Aarschots Bierfestivn, Belgium, on March 23, 2008. (25 cl bottle) BB 06-06-09. Clear dark brown color, medium sized light brown head. Lactic, acidic, a bit sweet scent. Sweet, acidic, lactic taste. Moussy mouthfeel, low bitterness. Sweet, lactic and acidic aftertaste.

Feb 6, 2008 Dark brown colored pour with little to no head. Sweet, veggie like nose with a sweet, candy and veggie like finish. Different.

Dec 5, 2007 Easily one of the better Flemish sours I’ve had. Bottle sampled at La Porte Noire in Brussels. Pours dark brown with ruby highlights, small tan head. Big nose full of cherries and balsamic... very inviting. Well-balanced sweet-and-sourness, with a tangy, mild bitterness. Lively but restrained bubbles dancing over the tongue. I did hope for a somewhat dirty/musty finish, a la Duchesse, so a minor letdown there. But now I’m all revved up to try others from Vanuxeem...

Nov 7, 2007 Brown/Rubis poor with a tiny beige heid. Aromas are ver much like the duchesse de bourgogne. Added aromas of red wine vinegar, brown sugar and yogourt. Zero bitterness, very rare and unique sensation. Nicely effervescent with a nice sweet balance. Added flavors of red wine, raspberries, cherries, strawberries... Impressive!

Oct 6, 2007 (Bottle, Stockholm Beer Festival, 29 Sep 2007) Dark brown colour with reddish hints, pale brown head. Fruity, slightly acidic nose with notes of cherries. Fruity, slightly sorish taste with dark fruit and cherries. Rather fresh acidity lingers around throughout. I did expect a brune but ended up quite content with a nice sour ale. Nice surprise.

Sep 18, 2007 Ruby pour ringed with dissipating froth. Aroma has the buttery sourness of red wine, with a splash of cherry. Flavour sweet-sour, caramel-tinged and fruity, with a lingeringly biscuity aftertaste. Apple, vinegar, demerara and iron. Accomplished, balanced sour ale.
