Original aroma: malt, sourness, cherries, toffee, caramel, cookies… Smooth, sweet and lightly sour, very similar to Duchesse de Bourgogne (therefore good!). Dangerously drinkable! omhper (12283), Stockholm, Sweden

Lightly acidic cherry aroma. Fairly sweet with rounded gentle mouthfeel. Balsamic mouthfilling cherry flavour with some freshening acidity. Mild and creamy despite fairly light body and concentrated flavour. Superb! If it would lose some sweetness it would reach heaven! janubio (158), Spain
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Sep 27, 2006 Dark red colour, it pours a nice brown creamy foam that last for a while. Nose of acid apples, coriander, fennel. Spicy. Taste is very acid, but pleasant, refreshing. Fruity, with apples and most of all cherries. It makes you ask for another. | 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 23, 2007 Bottle. Beautiful red/brown body with a beige head. Aroma has a certain cellar character with well-matured sweet cherry, just delicious. Flavor delivers most of the expectations from the aroma. Very harmonic balance between sweet and sour. The flavor is dominated by cherry, but in a matured way. Dorqui (1361), Brescia, Italy

Reddish dark color, much somber and racy, optimal fizz. Pleasant and balanced aroma; notes of must, red grape, raspberries and cherry cake. Crisp and balsamic taste; moderate and balanced malty rumors, good acidity and alcoholic perception. Long and persistent sour end. Not too watery, not too alcoholic, not too soupy... excellent. | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 8, 2003 A deep red beer with an fine head. The aroma is sharp, fruity and sweet - probably stemming from a mixture of wild- and controlled fermentation. The flavor is sweet in the beginning, then sharp - which lingers a long time, and the aftertaste is sharp and sour. A good beer, but not as good as I had expected after trying The Duchesse. henrik (41), Århus, Denmark

Slightly sour malty very special aroma. Good filling mouthfeel and a long refreshing aftertaste. Very drinkable indeed. duff (5475), Surrey, Greater London, England

Nose, almost balsamic aroma, with some acidic cherryish type aromas, woody. The flavour come through in the flavour. The mouthfeel is very well balanced and seems to hit the exact spot between sweet and sour. Bloody, with some tomatos acidity. Balsamic. Very nice.
