Aroma of toasted malt, caramel, some bitterness and alcohol. Ok mouthfeel. The flavour is sweet with caramel, toasted malt, some alcohol, bitter hops and bit of dark fruits. Sweet toasty finish with some lasting bitterness. The very best of the four beers I have tasted from this brewery. Papsoe (9999), Frederiksberg, Denmark Dec 24, 2007 (Bottle 50 cl) Clear, deep golden with a small, off-white head. Sweetish aroma of malt and a somewhat odd edge of overripe fruit. Solid body of sweetish malt with a light touch of sherry. No bitterness whatsoever. 221207 Maria (3975), Thisted, Denmark Feb 2, 2008 It’s a beautiful, warm amber beer with an OK head. The aroma has notes of caramel, roasted malt and flower. The flavour has a light sweetness, notes of caramel and roasted malt. It’s nicely balanced and charmingly uncomplicated - I like it!
