A deep red beer with a huge orange-brown head - due to heavy carbonation - a bit too much. The aroma is sweet combined with a slight acidity, and notes of barn yard and over ripe fruit. The flavor is also sweet with a combination of acidity, as well as notes of wood, hay, barn yard, caramel, and over ripe fruit, leading to a slightly acidic end. A very atypical Doppelbock - tastes more like a Biere de Garde.

Bottled. Dark amber bock, with a huge, diminishing beige head. It has an aroma that is slightly burnt, and has caramel in it. The flavor is sweet, with caramel and burnt malt. Sweet finish. Lots of carbonation in the mouth, accomplishing some sticky sweetness. The alcohol in this brew is well hidden. (060518)

(Bottle 50 cl) Pours a slightly hazy reddish brown with a beige head. Very heavily carbonated making the head stand tall. Fat, roasted malt aroma. Solid body with loads of roasted malt - almost sticky - and then a vaguely, burned, ashy edge. A very atypical Bock. 180506
