Jukkabro (2349), Tampere, Finland Jan 30, 2008 Dark coppery colored with slightly cloudy appearance. Medium sized yellow head. Rich buttery aroma with again Danish vegetably yeastiness, mild toffee and some hoppy anis-tone. Interesting and complex aroma. Thin to medium bodied. Flavor is not as interesting, still toffee and some Danish hoppy vegetable also here. Aftertaste dries with some hops, yeast and toffee. Interesting raasted-brew. Ungstrup (11031), Frederiksberg, Denmark Nov 27, 2007 Bottled. An amber beer with a huge orange head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of phenol, as well as medium notes of malt and caramel. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel, phenol, and some fruit, leading to a dry, bitter finish, with a strong note of phenol lingering. My least favorite among the three. gunnfryd (2718), Kristiansand, Norway Nov 10, 2007 Bottle. Amber colour with an off-white head. Aroma is hop, fruit, orange. Flavour is sweet, hop, fruit, orange. nice beer. yngwie (3394), Kristiansand, Norway Oct 30, 2007 Bottle. Amber, slightly unclear body, with a beige head. The aroma feels a bit sweeter than the Jylland, more malty, but there’s still a nice hoppiness. The flavor is sweet and malty, with resin in the background, finishing bitter, but quite sweet. Medium body. There’s not that much separating the scores of the beers in this hop experiment, but this was the one I appreciated least. (070928) Enjoyit (1088), Vadum, Denmark Oct 21, 2007 Amber of color with a beige head. An aroma of malt, liqurice, hops and notes of apples. A flavor of malt, sweet notes and bitter finish.
