Skinnyviking (2726), Copenhagen, Denmark Jan 13, 2008 Bottle. High creamy and long lasting light brown head. Hazy orange body. Fruity aroma of acidic apples plus a good deal of hops. Relatively mild and yet hoppy flavor with a fair amount of bitterness. Low carbonation and a long mild hops bitterness aftertaste. Borup (996), Albertslund, Denmark Dec 12, 2007 Bottle. Amber colour with a nice white head. Aroma and flavour of hops, caramel and malt. Ungstrup (11354), Frederiksberg, Denmark Nov 27, 2007 Bottled. An amber beer with a huge orange head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of phenol, caramel, dusty hops, and some fruit. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of fruit and dusty hops, as well as some fruit, the hops giving it a quite refreshing note, leading to a bitter finish with a note of phenol lingering together with a note of fruit. My second favorite among the three, though the differences are subtle. gunnfryd (2743), Kristiansand, Norway Nov 10, 2007 Bottle. Amber colour with an off-white head. Aroma is hop, fruit. Flavour is sweet, hop, fruit, pleasent. Nice beer. yngwie (3602), Kristiansand, Norway Oct 30, 2007 Bottle. Pours with slightly hazy, amber body, and a beige head. The aroma has a nice sweetness, balancing with a fine hoppiness, and is held company by caramel, juniper and pine. The flavor is much the same, with a pleasant bitterness that goes all the way to the finish. Medium body. In my opinion, the best of the three beers in this hop experiment. (070928)
