Mes_and_Sim (4365), Highgate, Greater London, England May 20, 2007 Updated: Jan 6, 2008 A Mes rate: Bottle @ Københavnske Øldage. Opaque black with a tan head and plenty of chunky lace. One of the best looking beers I have seen. Wonderful rich aroma of spicy dark chocolate, roasted malt and coffee. Flavour is sublime. Incredible balance with both malt and hops in abundance. Liqourice and dark chocolate, roasted coffee, more spice and a glorious smoky note. Body is about as full as you get. Totally over the top but so mellow, refined and smooth. Alcohol is there but only a slight hint. Finish is more roasty coffee. Stunning beer.
