Jukkabro (2405), Tampere, Finland Oct 12, 2008 Almost black colored with slight red hints. Little dark brown head. Strongly hopped and flowery aroma with obvious amarillo notes, is this the mix of Stout and IPA? Roastiness also present with some licorice, smoke and slight alcohol. Medium to full bodied. Flavor is more imperialstoutish with roastiness and coffee dominating in start, still aftertaste turns to flowery and licoricy with mild alcohol again. Well, interesting try, still almost too much of everything here, hard to understand. tarjei (1300), Bryne, Norway Sep 29, 2008 Bottle at EBF 2008, Copenhagen. Black color, small, almost no head. Aroma is roasted malt and coffee. Flavor is roasted malt and lots of coffee, chocolate and very nice bitterness. The oak has balanced the beer well. Grovlam (3204), Copenhagen, Denmark Sep 23, 2008 [EBF @ Copenhagen, September 2008] Average creamy beige head that mostly lasted. Good display of lacework. Pitch black color. Aroma of wood, vanilla, coffee, chocolate, roasted malt and liquorish. Over the palate mild hoppy notes could be picked up. Full bodied with a soft carbonation and thick mild alcoholic texture. Heavy bitter flavor with good counter sweetness. Roasted bitter malty finish. plovmand (679), Helsinge, Denmark Sep 20, 2008 Bottle. Courtesy of Nnudd. Pitch black in colour with a creamy beige head.
