Apr 20, 2008 Dark yellow-brown colored with hazy apearance. Little white head. Extremely rich IPA-aroma with flowery and caramelly, even soapy tone, hops still dominating. Medium to full bodied. Flavor is even richer: flowers and hops dominate, lemon also comes up. Surprisingly sweet start, which turns to mildly alcoholic and flowery, still mildly sweet and alcoholic aftertaste.

Mar 20, 2008 [Sampled at Carlsens.] Imagine a Tripel Karmeliet added with loads of hops. Lots of pines, flowers, caramel, grass and hops in this special way. Good and nice beer.

Jun 22, 2007 Draught at Københavnske Øldage. A hazy golden-orange beer with an off-white head. Malt and hops melt together nicely in the aroma, but it feels a bit sweet. Quite sweet flavor as well, with some beef-stock and a generous amounts of hops. Full body. Long, kinda balanced, yet hoppy finish. I may sound a little dissatisfied with it, but in fact it is a really nice beer. (070511)

Jun 24, 2008 500mL bottle, Holdbar til 07.01.2010--thanks pepsican! Clear orange with 1/2 finger yellow-white head, down to a thick ring and film. Aroma has tons of tropical and citrus fruits, and the same smoke and tobacco presence that their barleywine had. Some alcohol is also noted. Flavor is a little alcoholic, though still plenty of fruity hops with some caramel backing. Bitterness peaked at a 4 with a semi-dry finish. Full body with light smooth carbonation. One of the few DIPAs from Europe that I liked.

Pours a muddy pale yellow with a fine film head - lots of wonderful lacing. Nice subdued hoppy aroma amongst nice honey tones. Mouthfeel is wonderfully creamy. Flavour is well-balanced, lots of hops, medium bitterness, very fruity. Perhaps the caramel background note could do with a little more oomph...
