jake65 (1658), Williston, North Dakota, USA Feb 10, 2009 Tap @ Raccoon Lodge: A amber/copper pour with a sizeable sandy colored head. Decent lacing. Aroma is hoppy with citrus (mainly) and florals. A bit of caramel and toffee. Flavor gets hoppy up front with florals and citrus before mellowing into a sweeter, toffee and caramel finish. riversideAK (2648), Shoreline, Washington, USA Dec 18, 2008 Leafy, earthy, and toasty on the nose. Some citrus. Pours a nice copper color with a nice lasting head and sticky lacing. Leafy, earthy flavors of hops and a nice English toasty malt undertone. Insanely drinkable, mine was gone in about 30 seconds. This was a very nice IPA. after4ever (2711), Brier, Washington, USA Nov 18, 2008 Draft at the brewery. This is a lovely little brit IPA, perfect for fall. Dark grainy brownish amber with a loose and sudsy off-white head. Mild tangerine and toast nose. Creamy medium body with a bit of assertive carb and a pleasant roughness to it. Ron’s a master at that grainy, slightly under-attenuated mouthfeel. Never gets in the way, never feels out of place, never feels like an oversight. Wet leaves, some toast, bit of biscuit--great mid-palate malt base under a nice subtle roll of fruit preserves with a clean finish. Very drinkable.
