22 oz. bottle - gold and crystal clear with big white head upon pouring, 2nd pint becoming slightly cloudy; some lacing; yeasty aromas mixed with sweet malts; flavors are mild and a little sweet; smooth finish, but kind of bland overall

Draft at the brewpub. Light citrus aroma. Golden color with a creamy white head. Medium bodied with creamy carbonation. Flavor of pale malt, noble hop, and something else. Maybe several other things. Seems complex and has strong flavors (6.23 % and 43 IBU). Finish seems rather citrus. Well balanced. Again, strong flavors. Really good.

This was a very hoppy bock with a light citrus orange flavor over it. Pours light orange, very clear, with a smooth white head. Not as malty as most bocks, but just a tough of sweetness up front rounded off by a fruity hop finish.

Burnished tawny-golden body with a rocky sweet, bready off-white head. Silken slippery, smooth creamy bready with nicely balanced spicy Saaz hops. Pretty good beer.

Tap @ Raccoon Lodge: Blond in color, medium white head. Aroma is mild of sweet malt, a little spicey, and some floral hops. Flavor gets into some trouble up front and is kind of bland, but it recovers from a malty-watery grave by smoothing out into a spicey and floral finish.

Clear straw golden color, sticky head & lacing. The aroma has light notes of sweet fruit & malt, but they are very, very faint. The flavor has a well built body with more tart hops biting through the sweet malt body. Finishes light & lagerish. Easy drinking, smooth dry finish.

Tap. Clear, light golden colored with a fairly long lived white head. Great lacing. Aroma of grassy, earthy hops. Light bodied, just the slightest tastes of some toasted malt. Somewhat drying hop presence towards the tail. Decent.

A pleasant balanced aroma, but how to rate the appearance? It was a hazy golden color, with a off-white head, and looked like no other bock I’ve ever seen. Had a fairly hoppy taste for a bock, the malts sort of overpowered here. Still, it was a good beer, just doesnt really fit the style.
