| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 15, 2008 On draft at brewpub. Arrives a clear amber color with a small whitish head that leaves spotty lace. Somewhat fruity and caramel malt aroma, with floral hoppiness and a bit of orange. Flavor has the straight forward IPA character, toasty malts with caramel notes, bold hoppiness of the floral, spicy herb and subtle evergreen variety, leaving an astringent, almost peppery finish. Light to medium body and assertively tingly carbonation. Pretty good overall. bitbucket (2036), Kirkland, Washington, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 13, 2007 Sampled on tap at the brewery during ABA Beer Tour ’07. Beer listed on chalkboard simply as "Raccoon Lodge IPA." Pours a dark golden amber brew with a thick creamy white head that has a slow dissolving speed. Nice lacing in the glass edge. Aroma of grapefruit and some lemon zest. The citrus aroma is so overwhelming it is difficult to pick up the malt aroma. Taste is slightly carbonated, medium bodied with flavors of lemon bread cake with some grapefruit. Finish has a bread dough flavor with a nice bitter aftertaste. A unique IPA compared to most others I’ve tried over the past year - or an IPA class of its own. BrewDad (2370), Olympia, Washington, USA

A light amber color brew with a good standing head. A good floral of hops through out the nose and the flavor. This was a nice IPA. The flavor did ot take your throat hostage for the night. I could drink this again. Liked the brew and it is a great beer for all to drink.
