Pours a clear yellow gold under a fluffy foamy dollop of white head. Lots of carbonation visible and left lots of lacing. Aroma is clean pils malt with some light German hops. Nice crisp, lightly bitter flavor with minimal to no DMS. Lingering lightly bitter doughy finish. Crisp refreshing mouthfeel with a nice lightly prickly carbonation level. A nice classic Pilsener, in a great setting. I’m surprised the rates are so low for this beer, I think there may be a drop in quality when in the bottle due to the shipping/storage conditions. It was pretty nice on draft. Gethinbeer (1006), Nova Scotia, Canada

Pretty standard German pils import. I appreciate the brown bottle, but this just comes across as an ubiquitous Eurolager with a just a bit more of the familiar grassy/straw hoppiness. mugabe (219), Sweden
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Jul 19, 2007 Bottle. Light golden, thin head. Aroma a faint whiff of honey. Thin body. Taste is actually quite pleasant - well-balanced bitterness with a touch of creamy hop in the finish. Better than it seems. bhensonb (4380), Woodland, California, USA

The new white cans are so much cooler than the old black ones. ’Born at the Royal court of Dresden’ is a pretty cool marketing tag-line too in my opinion as a history geek. Pours a nice shimmering gold with a large white, frothy, perfect German Pilsener head. Aroma is your standard pils malt and noble hops. Flavour is more of the same, nothing extraordinary, but just extremely enjoyable and tasty. Some light biscuit followed by a dry Noble bitterness. As it warms slightly, the aroma opens up big time, and is remarkable. Tons of Noble hoppy goodness. Something about this one just really appeals to me. mephisto (1144), Taiwan
