The body is medium gold with a slight haze. The long lasting head is large and white. The aroma has an earthy musk of some leather with some pancakes. There is also a bit of alcohol. The taste is sweet peaches with almonds in the strong booze. There is also a little bit of cinnamon spice in the finish. The body a little thick and syrupy. JorisPPattyn (5167), Antwerpen, Belgium
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 27, 2006 Very fluffy, light and small head over uniform pale foxy beer. Very alcoholic nose, typically genever, bit of caramel, and some green herb. Very malty taste, apéritif nuts, marrons glacées; bit oxydized (BBd NOT exceeded by far); warm, sweet alcohol flavour. Further there’s a certain type of seeds’ flavour I cannot name. Alcoholburn, rather well-bodied. It’s flavourful enough, aromatic - but after al pretty raw. What the oxydizing is about??? kook (2034), Perth, Western Australia, Australia
