Commercial Description:
Rader Ambrée is the subtle aromatization of a beer brewed in the ancient-way, re-fermented in its bottle, with a distillate of grain which has undergone a prolonged ageing process in oak casks. The primary fermentation is made with the same selected grains for the mash tubbing and the distillate. The distillate, aged in oak casks, is then added to the mash tub just before the re-fermentation in the bottle.

(750ml bottle, BB 06/06/09) Pours a pale yellow body with a medium white head. Aroma of yeast, pepper, and other herbs. Flavor of yeast, hops (herbal, grass, earthy), candi sugar, and some noticeable oxidation.

Nice golden blonde robe with shy white head. Powerful malty aroma in which alcohol is noticeable. The taste is sweet before anything, very fruity, subtle tartness, with a bitter end. I found it robust for sure, but well balanced and not as agressive as others propose. Overall very tasty with a lot of character.

No#15. aroma is sweet, spicey with a reasonable amount of honey. Taste is very similar with a nice sweet honey finish. I have session beer written down here but i think my mind may have been a little distroted at this time, hehe.

Pours an effervescent copper with a large, frothy, creamy off-white head. Aroma of sweet caramel and butterscotch with some bready yeasty balance. Body starts with nice fullness and sweet, caramely butterscotch flavor with a touch of earthy oak, raisins and light fruity esters. Pretty well balanced and hides the alcohol well.

Very fluffy, light and small head over uniform pale foxy beer. Very alcoholic nose, typically genever, bit of caramel, and some green herb. Very malty taste, apéritif nuts, marrons glacées; bit oxydized (BBd NOT exceeded by far); warm, sweet alcohol flavour. Further there’s a certain type of seeds’ flavour I cannot name. Alcoholburn, rather well-bodied. It’s flavourful enough, aromatic - but after al pretty raw. What the oxydizing is about???

Another Belgian drunkard beer. Very alcoholic and violent. Drink a sixpack fast and you'll get drunk.
