Commercial Description:
Rader Ambrée is the subtle aromatization of a beer brewed in the ancient-way, re-fermented in its bottle, with a distillate of grain which has undergone a prolonged ageing process in oak casks. The primary fermentation is made with the same selected grains for the mash tubbing and the distillate. The distillate, aged in oak casks, is then added to the mash tub just before the re-fermentation in the bottle.

On draught at The Delirium Café. Amber colour. Rich head. Gin nose, spitzy and alcoholic. Very clean flavour with a genever touch and no bitterness. Moderate sweetness, dryness is also moderate. Clean.

Hazy golden colour with big white head. Sweet, light spicy aroma with a very evident alcohol note. Sweet fruity flavor with a light woddy note, spicy and alcohol warming finish.

Light amber and hazy in colour with spritzy carbonation. Aromas of sweet malts, caramel, yeast, dried apricots, and booze. Full bodied, with more dried fruit, and peppery alcohol notes in the mouth. Moderately spice notes develop later, along with a hint of wood. Kind of run-of-the-mill for the style.

Amber color with some golden hues. Aroma of sitrus and spices. Nice alcohol and citrus flavors, the alcohol isn’t too dominating even if its 10.5%. Bitter finish. Interesting but not very good.

Warm amber with a nice and lasting head. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel/malt. The mouthfeel is full and the flavour is sweet, malty and citrussy and the maturing in the oak barrels is evident. The finish is spicy and I think it’s juniper I find...

Bottle.

Pours a full yellow amber with a medium-sized white head and plenty of small floating material. The aroma is heavily fruity, pears and a hint of citrus, lots of alcohol. The flavor is moderately sweet (in a rather uninteresting way) without much of a hop finish; in there I get a lot of sweet light malt, some gin/junipier, decided alcohol flavors, and a bit of cask. Mouthfeel is heavily carbonated and quite warm.

It’s not bad, but I’m not particularly impressed here either.
