Commercial Description:
Rader Ambrée is the subtle aromatization of a beer brewed in the ancient-way, re-fermented in its bottle, with a distillate of grain which has undergone a prolonged ageing process in oak casks. The primary fermentation is made with the same selected grains for the mash tubbing and the distillate. The distillate, aged in oak casks, is then added to the mash tub just before the re-fermentation in the bottle.

Blond-amber colour, hazy. light sprankling, small head Strong aroma, sweet-alcoholic, with some jenever touches. Taste is warm alcoholic, with a light bitter finish. Some grains at the end. Very nice beer, doesn’t seems to be so havy.

Bottle shared with cbkschubert. Pours a golden color with a very nice head. Excellent lacing, about the best I’ve seen. Lots of fruity, citrus aroma, with a slight yeasty smell. When I found out it was a 10.5% alcohol I was surprised. Not much alcohol smell or flavor. Light, creamy, and smooth. Nice beer, very refreshing to the palate.

Deep orange, hazy, small head. Sweet soft palate. Very malty, very pleasant. This beer is so not 10.5%, so very pleasant to drink - a stealth beer that’s for sure. This is not just an ambree - it’s less sweet than a typical one, and has a woody bent to the generous malt. Very well balanced. Potent but very subtle, and understated. Danes and yanks please take note!

Pours a nice burnt sienna with large collapsing soapy white head. Nose is like slightly overripe pear juice, some very saccharine caramel malts, some menthol alcohol aromas. Pretty smooth and full on the palate, starting with strong ciderlike tones and strong oxidized copper character before finishing peppery and warming. Pretty nondescript, but strong.

Pours a cloudy golden brown with a head that dissapates quickly. Really funky aroma, with lots of yeast and malts. Flavor is malty and woody. Pretty good beer for $6 a bottle at the bar. (RIver Street Ale House)

Darker amber coloured beer with medium white head. Yeasty hoppy aroma and fruity aroma with an alcoholic touch. Full palate bit sparkling and creamy. Finish is bitter and spciy ending more bitter near the end. Good one.
