Suds_McDuff (1020), was CapeTown,SA-now Houston,TX, Texas, USA May 7, 2008 thanks stu! .. some head on pour but dies to nothing ... smells of a rusty caramel can .. sour, metallic maybe some traces of caramel ... got this right from the distributor so i know it was fresh, but tastes spoiled ... ANOTHER IN A LONG LINE OF DISAPPOINTMENTS from the ass end of texas brewers! .. i don’t get it, Bitter End burns down, but these guys stay open!! theisti (1084), Leawood, Kansas, USA Jan 31, 2008 12 oz. bottle courtesy of KAggie97. Pour is clear amber-copper with visible carbonation and a nice one inch off white head. Aroma of nice earthy spiciness and some sweetness. Taste has some sharp sweetness initially, that transitions smoothly into a drinkable thin palate and a clean finish. Some nice spicy hoppiness and earthiness throughout. On the label, this is called both a Lager and an Ale, so I am little bit confused, but regardless, nice drinkable beer. DocLock (4170), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 8, 2008 Thanks to fly for this one. The pour is deep coppery with off-white head. I got caramel malt, some brown sugar, and some earthy peaty notes in the aroma, with the taste being primarily a somewhat dry heavy Wheaties malty taste coupled with some earthy, nutty, and brown sugar taste hints.
