12oz bottle courtesy of ericandersnavy. Pours a dark amber color with reddish highlights and a one finger, creamy tan head. Aroma is sweet and malty with some notes of toasted bread, grass, hay, light floral hop aromas. Flavor is also sweet and malty with notes of toasted nuts, honey, caramel, roasted bread, light spice notes. Generally medium body with a malty and sweet finish. Surprised at the lack of hop presence in this beer.

Bottle. Pours a large foamy head with brownish gold body. Aroma of burnt malts, sourdough bread, and some hop bitterness. Taste is earthy, almost sweet chocolate and dirt. Fizzy mouthfeel.

Pours amber with a medium lived beige head. Smell is malty more so than hoppy and has a toasty malt nose, in fact. Taste however is slightly more hoppy than the smell would lead on and helps balance the toasty caramel sweetness. The hops are earthy and just a hint metallic perhaps. Medium to slightly full body with crisp carbonation. Overall, a solid, sessionable beer, I thought, but nothing too outrageous.

Bottle. Pours a vivid and lush amber with a nice off-white head. Aroma is plastic-like with hints of fruit and roasted nut. Slight whispers of ripened grapefruit and close-to-expiration orange. Overall it reminds me of the smell of the ultra-70s plastic placemats my parents had when I was a kid. Flavor is a striking blend of nut and cinammon, with a hint of mild coffee in the finish. Average and lively mouthfeel. Overall, not too shabby. Might be tempted to ’see’ this one again.
