Commercial Description:
It's our very first beer - golden medium-bodied and brewed as a traditional Munich Helles style pale lager. It features a rounded maltiness without being too heavy. And like every proud Texan, it has a good head, is pleaseant but never overly sweet.

Had an older bottle (without a label) at the brewery. The brewer said that this one is much better than their current batch, as they pulled the current one too early so it is still a bit green. This one pours a clear yellow with a small white head. Somewhat corny or adjunct aroma. Nice mild hops on the taste. A solid blonde, but a bit too fizzy.

Brwerry Tour Dark golden color with fluffy egg white head. Pleasent aroma which is grainy, malty with nice floral hoppiness. Enjoyable hoppy flavor. Light tasting beer with nice malt hop balance. Some nice pepperiness as well.

good golden color. decent Helles, I liked this more than the new Shiner 99. I wouldn’t buy it again but I definitely enjoyed it.

12oz bottle acquired in trade with lb4lb (thanks!). Poured a light yellow color with a smaller sized white head. Aromas of skunkiness and some graininess. Tastes of citrus and some malty sweetiness. Thin and watery body.

Rahr’s beer are terrible. I have yet to have one that did not end up in the drain pipe in my sink. Pours an odd yellow color that is, dare I say, less seductive than miller lite? Smells like metal and garbage. Tastes like corn and water. There is almost no taste to this beer. Why a brewery would even release a product such as this, baffels me. Terrible on every level.

April 2006 - Beyond boring. Pours yellow pale straw color, with next to no head and a skunky hop aroma. Not much going on in the flavor department either. This is barely a step above a macro lager, even if it is an ale.

Had this at the Rahr brewery. Poured a nice straw yellow. Head retention wasn’t very good. Nice floral aroma with a light maltiness. Slight fruity notes. Not a bad brew but could have been better. Perhaps different use of hops.....Has alot of fruity notes like an ale, with a cleam taste.... Would buy again though....
