Jan 26, 2006 This Munich Helles pours a nice straw color - true to style. It has a thin head, but that could be from a not so clean glass........ It has nice hints of hops that smell like Saaz....? It’s grain flavor and aroma are nice in this beer. This is a very dry drinking beer, and for a Texas beer its good!!!! A clean version of a Helles that I really enjoyed and worth the try!!!! I tried in both bottle and on tap, both very good - better on draft - but that’s always the case! I had this beer last summer and it was just ok..... beer is better today! Thanks Fort Worth!

Nov 14, 2004 tap at the brewery. murky in a clear way light brown with a fat head. hop aroma jumps out on this one(amarillo??). floral bitter flavor of hops dominate this. very clean and refreshing.

Jun 12, 2009 Bottle. Pours a hazy yellow golden with a medium frothy white head that lasts awhile leaving behind good sticky lacing along the glass. The aroma is very fruity and yeast with citrus. Thin moutfeel with a very sweet fruit taste with a nice spicy finish. Easy to drink and very refreshing, a very good Helles from Rahr.

Sep 30, 2004 Deep urine color; poured from tap with no head- may have been the bartenders fault. Very dry palate- I would have to guess Saaz, but I could be wrong- I am no expert on hops. Wow, it just keeps getting dryer and dryer- very interesting. Lots of body and mouthfeel.

Nov 11, 2007 Rahr’s Blonde lager is a great color, perfect golden yellow. It’s not translucent, so its a little cloudy. The beer pours mostly head that persists. The aroma is moderately sweet. The flavor is like a hefe sort of, with a hint of banana.

Mar 30, 2007 Bottle: Yellow in color, somewhat vibrant, quite clear, thin sudsy white head, falls quickly, thin lacing, thinner carbonation. Straw and grass on the nose, pale malts, the usual. Fairly clean grassy malt profile, mild sweetness, lingers well throughout the finish. Moderate to full bodied, similar mouthfeel. I am quite impressed with this one. Clean finish, sweet grassy malts linger. Yeah, I liked this one. Well done!

Sep 13, 2005 poured a cloudy yellow hue... Had fizzy non sneaking head, slight flower smell, fells good going down, very refreshing, a good lager indeed
