(Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of MaltOMeal. Almost clear golden with tiny impurities. Off-white head leaving laces. Malty nose with a spicy touch. Medium body, quite malty with some flower notes and a light underlying acidity. Lightly bitter finish. 220608

Drank from a bottle, so just gave it a "3" for appearance. Slight caramel aroma. Smooth, malty taste with some hops, some caramel. Goes down well, and was surprised that a 7.5% alcohol content would go down so easy. Nice bock.

(bottle - thanks Swalden_28) medium gold with small white head. Faint bready malt aroma. Flavor was slightly sweet malt, maybe a little caramel.

12oz bottle acquired in trade with Swalden_28 (thanks!). Poured a medium and hazy golden color with a smaller sized head. Aromas of earthiness, wet leaves, fruity, and some caramel. Tastes of the same earthiness, caramel, lighter fruitiness, and toasted grains.

Bottle courtesy of Mar. Pours copper with a thin white head. Smells spicy with some earthy hints. Tastes of lightly bitter hops, some earthy malt and perfumy. Some saccarine like aftertaste on the finish.

Decent rahr product. Taken straight from the brewery. Nose is fruity, caramel like and malty. Taste is caramel, dark malt and some berries? Metallic finish.

Given a free bottle at the brewery by its brewer. Pretty good, a nice and fruity heller bock. My second favorite Rahr product behind winter warmer. Goes down well with a slightly metallic finish. Not bad overall.

Pours clear golden, without much fanfare. Then the head goes to 2 inches, and then nothing in 1 minute. Very little bubbling. No lacing. Smells like malt, hay straw, earthen. Flavor is good, like a darker lager. There’s no clue it’s 7.5% i was thinking 4.5-5.5. Flavors include Smooth flavorful malt, slight caramel, mineral, and sweetness. Well balanced. Full finish. Easy to drink.
