Bucking Bock - it's a traditional German Spring Bock Beer - golden in color and mildly hopped...... Kick'n in at 7.5% alcohol - it has a smooth malty character that will surely thaw you out after a long cold winter. Spring is here and so is Rahr's Bucking Bock!

This is sub par but still enjoyable....its very lacking in taste and weak in the mouthfeel..it has a nice subtle flavour profile but screams for more, the 7.5 is the best part, rahr just seems not to try hard enough...

Pours a golden yellow color with almost no head to speak of. Unpleasant alcohol and wet grain aroma with a malty sweet watery taste. This is not a good brewery.

Pours light gold, with a thick head. Seems too light for a bock. Fairly light body, with no hint of the alcohol.

Bottle from Walt. Some caramel and earthiness to it. Somewhat syrupy and a simple brew. Had it after a run and it was quite good and easy to wolf down.

Pour is dark golden amber with a thin almost nonexistent off white head...smell is grainy and something strangely sweet...taste is sweet at first with tons of corn and grainy flavor, very malty indeed...then syrupy with hints of hop bitterness...no real alcohol, but overly sweet for sure...

Bottle. No head, with a still amber body, cleear. Grainy nose, sweet starchy malts, like a pils malt aroma... and it also smells a little bit like a malt liquor. Tastes similar, with some rough, raw malt flavors and some hop coarseness, with a slight sourness. Sharp bite as well, more like a malt liquor... strange.

12 oz bottle: poured bright copper with little head. Earthy aroma. Moderate hops. I was expecting a little bit more malt in the flavor but the same earthiness is there with a good bit of hops. A decent beer.
