The ETOH content is actually 8.1%. It has a smoothness not found in a lot of other HA beers. Truly a sneaky brew.

Cloudy orange pour. Has a hint of a kick but remains a very tasty brew. This is an old rating and I don’t recall other details.

12 oz. Bottle. Pours a slightly murky pale with a white head and some lacing. Malt and some sulfur in the nose. Very clean malt flavor with just and hint of sweetness and crisp finish. Very drinkable and nicely made beer.

Beer pours dark golden with a nice thick egge white head that mostly dissipates. Aroma is pretty much overwhelmingly grainy with a little bit of alcohol. Flavor improves upon the aroma. Flavor is initally malty/grainy/bready. Finish is dry and lightly bitter. This is decent beer and as Paul said extremely drinkable for 7.5%.

April 2007 - Beer pours yellow, with big fluffo head, not much lacing, though. Aroma was okay, fruity. Flavor was a nice blend of fruity (pear-like) malts and a mild grassy hop finish. Easy drinking and light bodied. This seemed more akin to a maibock than a traditional bock, but I won’t hold that against it

Had this at the Rahr Brewery. Poured a clear golded color with white head with good retention and some lacing, with nice malty aroma. Flavor was malty and with an alcohol spiciness with good use of hops.....good beer..... Rerate: Oook, I am REALLY liking this bock, it has grown on me. This beer has actually become a favorite of mine.

Pours a clear deep gold with minimal head. Aroma is faint, barely malty and sweet. Taste is lightly malty, toasty and sweet with elements of light caramel. Just the mere hint of hop presence with that characteristic nutty, pungent bock flavor. Overall, a very clean, gentle flavor profile with no trace of alcohol, despite its uncharacteristic ABV. Mouthfeel is light and smooth, drinkability is extremely high -- deceptive, almost too smooth, as I downed a liter before realizing as it kicked me in the head. Would this qualify as an Imperial maibock? Another winner from Rahr.

Bottle: Orange hued golden, very translucent, thin spritzy white head, falls quickly, sparce lacing, very slight carbonation.   Pale malt character on the nose, a touch bready/grainy with even a hint of popcorn kernels.   Sweet grassy start, moderate maltiness, with an ever so slight dry pale fruit skin finish.   Moderate body and mouthfeel, fairly smooth drinking.   ABV is well hidden.   A lighter example, but very easy to drink.   Thanks Tad for the freebie!
