I loved this. I can’t decide whether I like this or the Belhaven better. I had them back to back and I still can’t decide. This beer leaves a fantastic taste in your mouth for literal minutes after each sip. Apparently I’m a Rahr fanboy now.

Tap at brewery.
Pours a thick, dark mahogany with a nice, off-white head. Aroma is almost non-existent, but what little I could detect pointed in the direction of raisin and malt with a touch of sweetness.. Flavor is very approachable smoky peated malt with a smoky sugar finish. Mouthfeel is thick and gooey. A very enjoyable and approachable scotch ale.

Pours a dark reddish brown color with a non hazy body, and an oily light canvas colored head. Taste is malty, some roasted coffee, peat, brown sugar, and a hit of dark fruit. Mouthfeel is not bad and finish is short. Nose was muted as all hell.
